Are you looking for new challenges and emotions that will allow you to grow as a person? Would you like to make the most of your summer? Do you like judging people for what they do and not what they look like? Would you like to have a different experience with people who are worth it?
If so, congratulations!!!!
This summer, for the ninth consecutive year, the "Fundació Catalana per la Paràlisi Cerebral" (The Catalan Foundation for Cerebral Palsy) is organizing the International Exchanges between national and international young people with and without cerebral palsy.
These exchanges have been created as a tool to work towards improving the human rights and assuring equality in society for people with cerebral palsy. We want to move forward and help people with this and similar disabilities achieve a normal way of life.
In order to achieve this goal it is essential to know both worlds. To do so we offer stays of 10 days in which people with and without disabilities will be living together 24 hours a day. They will do several activities and they will use sport as the international language of communication.
This programme wants to put people with and without cerebral palsy from different origins and social backgrounds together, so they can share their experiences over a ten day period whilst being in a completely adapted environment and taking part in activities without making distinctions between those who have cerebral palsy and those who do not.
At the same time, the international nature of the event will allow people from different cultures, languages and ways of life the opportunity to get to know each other better, and by doing so improve communication between different cultures.
Among the planned activities for each exchange we would like to highlight several adapted sports: boccia, slalom, athletics, swimming, Olympic activities and also workshops, lectures, discussion forums, two socio-cultural trips, treasure hunts, games and lots more.
This year there will be three exchanges. They will take place on:
IMPORTANT NOTE
THE INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES HAVE HAD TO BE CUT BY CAUSES FOREIGN TO THE ORGANIZATION AND, THEREFORE, THE DATES HAVE BEEN SEEN AFFECTED:
First Exchange: Vilanova de Sau -- from July 30th to August 6th
Second Exchange: Vilanova de Sau -- from August 9th to August 16th
Third Exchange: Sant Carles de la Ràpita -- from August 12th to August 19th.
Last year, 76 participants from 16 different locations: Catalonia, Valencia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Serbia, Croatia, Russia, Morocco, Finland, Hungary, Turkey, United States, Canada and Japan, made this experience possible.
INSCRIPTIONS
In order to participate in any of the international exchanges you need to:
1) Make a transfer of 80€ to the Bank Account Number below. You need to specify your name and surnames as your booking reference, IBAN number:

2) Fill in and sign the attached form numbering the exchanges in preference order being 1 the most preferred one and 3 the least, and post it to c/Pere Vergés,1 Despatx 9.6 08020 Barcelona, Spain or e-mail it to info@fcpc.cat.
2) E-mail us at info@fcpc.cat to confirm your request has been accepted.
Places are limited so if you are interested don't think twice!Admission is by order of the bank receipt and the discretion of the organization. New this year is that you have to select each exchange in order of preference, where 1 is the most preferred and 3 the least. So we intend to accelerate efforts in the case of more applications than places and have different dates to propose to which you have chosen.
